Effective date: March 2026 · Last updated: March 2026 · This document supplements the general Terms of Service. Commencing use of domain name services constitutes acceptance of these supplementary terms.
1. Service Structure and Intermediary Relationship
RYSTAT processes domain name registrations via API integration with an ICANN-accredited registrar. RYSTAT acts as an intermediary in this process; the final registration record and technical administration are managed through the accredited registrar.
- The customer is informed of the registrar used in the order flow or account panel.
- The domain name is registered in the customer's name in the accredited registrar's system; RYSTAT is not the registrant of the domain name.
- The registrar's own terms of service and ICANN policies remain in force in addition to these terms. In the event of a conflict, ICANN policies take precedence.
2. Registrant Obligations
2.1 WHOIS accuracy requirement
Pursuant to ICANN policy, all registrant contact information (name, address, email, telephone) must be kept accurate, complete, and up to date. Inaccurate or incomplete WHOIS information may result in suspension or deletion of the domain name in accordance with ICANN procedures.
- Changes to information must be updated immediately via the RYSTAT account panel.
- Where email verification is requested, it must be completed within 15 days; failure to do so may result in the domain being suspended.
2.2 Registrant representations
Upon domain name registration, the customer represents and warrants the following:
- That the registration information provided is accurate.
- That the domain name to be registered does not infringe any existing trademark, registered name, or third-party right.
- That the domain name will be used in good faith and is not intended for cybersquatting purposes.
- That they will comply with applicable ICANN policies and the terms of the registrar performing the registration.
3. Registration, Renewal, and Term Management
- Domain names are registered for the period selected at the time of ordering (minimum 1 year).
- Where auto-renewal is enabled, the registered payment method will be charged prior to the expiry date. The customer may manage auto-renewal from the account panel.
- Where auto-renewal is disabled, a reminder will be sent by email at least 30 days before the expiry date; if no renewal is made, the domain will expire.
- RYSTAT accepts no liability for losses arising from domain name expiry; responsibility for monitoring renewals rests with the customer.
3.1 Post-deletion periods
Expired domain names typically pass through the following stages:
| Stage | Duration (approximate) | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Expiry | — | Domain resolution may cease |
| Grace Period | 0–30 days | Renewal possible at standard fee |
| Redemption Period | 30–75 days | Renewal possible but subject to additional fee |
| Pending Delete | 75–80 days | Recovery not possible; domain awaiting deletion |
| Deletion | 80+ days | Domain becomes publicly available |
Timeframes may vary according to TLD (top-level domain) registry policy. Ensuring timely renewal of critical domain names is the customer's responsibility.
4. Transfer and Lock
- The EPP/Auth code required for domain transfer may be requested via the RYSTAT account panel.
- For security purposes, domain names may be subject to a transfer lock (registrar lock) by default. The lock may be removed from the panel.
- Transfers to another registrar may not be initiated within 60 days of the registration date (ICANN 60-day rule). This rule also applies following an update to registration information.
- Once a transfer process has commenced, fees paid for the preceding period are non-refundable; however, a 1-year extension is applied in conjunction with the transfer.
5. Dispute Resolution (UDRP / URS)
Domain name disputes are subject to the ICANN Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) and, where applicable, the Uniform Rapid Suspension Policy (URS).
- In UDRP/URS proceedings initiated by a third party alleging trademark infringement, RYSTAT will comply with registrar instructions and authoritative panel decisions.
- The UDRP process preserves the customer's right of defence; the ICANN UDRP policy should be consulted for details.
- RYSTAT does not provide UDRP defence or legal representation on behalf of customers; customers involved in such proceedings should retain independent legal counsel.
6. WHOIS Privacy Service
RYSTAT may offer a WHOIS privacy/proxy service for supported TLDs. When this service is enabled, proxy information is displayed in the public WHOIS record in place of the customer's personal details.
- The WHOIS privacy service may be removed or real information disclosed in the event of a legal obligation, a request from a competent authority, or a legitimate abuse investigation.
- ICANN and certain TLD registries may restrict or prohibit the WHOIS privacy service; in such cases, the service cannot be provided.
7. Limitation of RYSTAT's Liability
Domain name registration, renewal, transfer, and deletion processes are ultimately subject to ICANN policies and the rules of the relevant TLD registry. RYSTAT acts in the capacity of an intermediary in these processes.
- RYSTAT shall not be held liable for domain name loss or restrictions arising from technical, administrative, or regulatory decisions made by the registry or registrar.
- RYSTAT is not liable for disputes or losses arising from inaccurate or incomplete registration information provided by the customer.
- No refund will be made for domain names mandatorily deleted by the registry due to cybersquatting, trademark infringement, or unlawful use.
