Effective date: March 2026 · Last updated: March 2026 · This document supplements the general Terms of Service, AUP, and AI Service Terms. Commencing use of the Website Builder constitutes acceptance of these supplementary terms.
Scope of Service
These terms apply to all components of the RYSTAT Website Builder: the drag-and-drop editor, pre-built templates, AI content assistant, publishing infrastructure, and associated integration tools.
1. Templates and Intellectual Property
1.1 Licence for RYSTAT templates
Pre-built templates, themes, and design components provided by RYSTAT are made available under a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence that permits personal and commercial use.
- Templates may be used for the duration of an active subscription. Upon subscription expiry, publishing and editing rights may be suspended; however, exported content remains the property of the customer.
- Templates may not be resold to third parties, sub-licensed, or distributed as a standalone product outside of RYSTAT services.
- Derivative works created by modifying the base structure of templates belong to the customer; however, RYSTAT retains its rights over the original template components.
1.2 Ownership of customer content
All intellectual property rights in text, images, logos, videos, and other content uploaded by the customer to the Website Builder remain with the customer. RYSTAT processes such content solely for the purpose of providing the service.
2. AI Content Generation
The AI-powered content suggestion, text generation, and design assistant features of the Website Builder are subject to the AI Service Terms. In addition to those terms, for these features:
- Text and images suggested by AI must be verified by the customer before publication.
- The accuracy, originality, and compliance of AI-generated content with third-party rights are the customer's responsibility.
- The intellectual property status of wholly AI-generated content should be assessed before commercial use (see AI Service Terms, Section 7).
3. Publishing and Hosting Dependency
Sites created on the Website Builder are hosted on RYSTAT infrastructure. Publishing and live access are contingent upon an active hosting or Website Builder plan.
- Upon plan cancellation or expiry, access to the published website will be terminated. The customer must export their content prior to termination.
- The availability of the published site is subject to the SLA (see SLA).
- Configuring the DNS settings of a custom domain to point to RYSTAT infrastructure is the customer's responsibility.
4. Export and Portability
The customer has the right to export content created in the Website Builder in machine-readable formats. This facility is provided in a manner consistent with portability expectations under EU Digital Content Directive 2019/770.
- The export feature is accessible from the account panel.
- RYSTAT-specific platform components (proprietary engine, integrations) may not be directly portable to a different platform; this technical limitation is communicated to the customer at the commencement of service.
5. Consumer Right of Withdrawal
Consumer customers in the EU/EEA have a 14-day right of withdrawal (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 9). However, where the customer, at the time of placing the order:
- has requested that the service commence within the withdrawal period, and
- has expressly acknowledged that they will lose their right of withdrawal once the service has been provided,
the right of withdrawal lapses after such acknowledgement (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(m)). For further details, see the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
6. Prohibited Uses
The following types of websites may not be created or hosted via the Website Builder:
- Phishing, fraud, or identity theft websites
- Misleading commercial content or fraudulent product/service sales pages
- Unlawful content, hate speech, or material inciting violence
- Content infringing third-party copyrights or trademarks
- Other prohibited uses set out in the AUP
Where a violation is detected, the site may be taken offline and the account may be suspended. For details, see the Acceptable Use Policy.
